Jamiat Criticises Mujib’s Plan
KARACHI, March 24 (APP): The Central Jamiatul-Ulema Pakistan, Karachi, yesterday criticised Awami League. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s six-point plan which it said, aimed at creating disruption between two wings of the country and undoing the very ideology of Pakistan.
By a resolution passed at a meeting of the Jamiat held yesterday the Jamiat has asked its branches at Dacca, Chittagong and Khulna to forcefully oppose the “sinister move”. The meeting was held under the Presidentship of Maulana Abdul Hamid Badayuni, President of the Jamiat.
The meeting passed a number of resolutions on varous issues by a resolution the Jamiat welcomed President Ayub’s appeal to the “Ulema and Mashaikh” for maintaining national unity and discipline for further strengthening Pakistan.
