6-point programme misconstrued, says Mujib
DACCA, March 19: A three day conference of the East Pakistan Awami League Council opened here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, General Secretary of EPAL, cautioned the people against misinterpretation of his six-point programme. He said the “ruling clique” was, as usual. dubbing the protagonists of East Pakistanis cause as “Disruptionists, they were misconstruing his programme and spreading false alarm among the people.
The programme, he maintained, incorporated the legitimate demands of the people of East Pakistan and reflected their hopes and aspirations. It would jeopardise neither the integrity nor the unity of the country. – APP
