East Wing CML hits out at Mujib’s proposal

DACCA, Feb 28: The East Pakistan Council Muslim League Working Committee, at a meeting here yesterday, discussed the post-war political, economic and constitutional situation of the country, according to a party Press release last night.
The meeting presided over by Mr Abdul Quasim, President of the organisation, in a resolution took a “serious view” of the sixpoint programme of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and appointed a committee to devise ways and means to meet the situation resulting from the six-point programme.
The meeting also discussed the situation arising out of the dissolution of the Karachi Zonal Muslim League and the expelling of Mr Z.H. Lari from the organisation. The meeting requested the Working Committee of the Pakistan Muslim League (Council) to review the situation caused by such an action.
By another resolution, the meeting demanded immediate release of all political prisoners.
RAWALPINDI, Feb 28: The Halqae Arbab-e-Zauq, Rawalpindi yesterday paid glowing tributes to its founder member late, Meeraji, at a special literary meeting held here to observe the eminent literateur’s death anniversary. – APP
