Mujib defends his 6-point

CHITTAGONG, Feb. 26: The General Secretary of the East Pakistan Awami League Sheikh Mujibur Rahman said here today that his 6-point programme was aimed at a strong and united and prosperous Pakistan, reports APP. He was addressing a public meeting at Laldighi Maidan yesterday.
Mr. Mujib said that six-points programme did not aim at weakening and disintegrating Pakistan. He regretted that his sixpoints programme was believe wrongly interpreted by some leaders.
Referring to the criticisms of some political leaders who expressed fear that implementation of the six-points programme would endanger the solidarity of the country. Sheikh Mujib said that they misunderstood and misinterpreted the programme.
He also referred to the criticism of the Chief of Jamaat-e-Islam Chief and said that the criticism was not based on facts.
Sheikh Mujib said that his six-points programme was not only to safeguard the interest of East Pakistan but also of whole of Pakistan.
