Dacca meeting called off due to bad weather

DACCA, Sept. 21: The public meeting which was to be addressed by Mr. H. S. Suhrawardy here this afternoon was cancelled because of squally weather.
It had been drizzling here since early morning and as the time for the meeting-fixed at 4 p.m. approached, the weather further deteriorated.
The decision of the cancellation of the meeting was announced over microphones-fitted taxis in different areas of the city.
DEPARTURE FOR KARACHI
Mr. Suhrawardy left here tonight for Karachi after a six-day visit to Dacca. The plane carrying him took off at 9 p.m. 45 minutes behind schedule. He was seen off at the airport among others by Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Mr. Zahiruddin, Mr. Taffazul Husain, Mr. syed Azizul Huq, Shah Azizur Rahman, Mr. Muhammad Sulaiman, Mr. Hashmuddin Ahmad, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies and a host of political workers. -APP.
