Ata & Mujib Postpone Departure For Karachi

Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, two Awami League leaders, who were due to leave for Karachi to see Mr. Suhrawardy have postpond their departure as the latter is unwell at present and requires complete rest. Meanwhile a statement issued here by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, ex-General Secretary of now defunct Awami League said: “In view of the fact that our leader, Mr. Suhrawardy, has been released but is not in a position to undertake a journey to East Pakistan earlier that September 10 the proposed meeting of the prominent workers of the now defunct Awami Lague, which was to take place on September 2 at the residence of Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan, to discuss the present political situation in the light of united stand of the leaders of defunct political parties, has been postponed.
The date of the meeting will be announced later after consultation with Mr. Suhrawardy.” -APP
