POLITICAL SOLUTION FOR E. PAK.?

London, June 21 (AP).

The foreign ministers of Britain and India agreed Monday that the flow of refugees from East Pakistan to India should stop and conditions should be created for them to return home safely.

Sir Alex Douglas- Home of Britain and Swaran Singh of India also agreed that “A political solution must be found which is acceptable to the people of East Pakistan.”

These views were spelled out in a joint statement issued after an hour-long talk described as “friendly and constructive. Singh also paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Edward Heath.

Later, at a news conference, Singh said he had asked Britain and other governments he had visited recently to cut off aid to the military regime in Pakistan to pressure them toward resolving the refugee question. He had visited Moscow, Washington, Bonn, Paris and Ottawa earlier and leaves for India Monday night. Some governmet, he said, were considering cutting off aid to Pakistan.
