Pakistan Gunboat Arrives In Malaysia Port
Penang, Malaysia. Dec. 2. A Pakistan Navy gunboat with 47 people on board arrived here today. Sources said it was seeking provisions and repairs. The officers and crew refused to say why the British-built vessel Rajshahi had put in here and only added that they would stay as long as the Malaysian Government would allow.
There was no indication that they were seeking political asylum. Most of the 47 were understood to be West Pakistanis. The officers changed into civilian clothes tonight and supervised the crew painting the vessel. – Reuters.
