A contingent of Pak Army thrown back in Comilla

AGARTALA, SEPT. 20 – The Bangladesh Liberation Force threw back a contingent of the Pakistani Army which raided Mirzapur village in Comilla on Wednesday and indulged in arson, looting and killing, saya UNI.
According to Information received by the Mukti Bahini headquarters across the border six Pakistani soldiers lost their lives in the clash.
The guerillas attacked the Pakistani Army at Delashpur and Raghurampur in the Comilla sector inflicting considerable casualties.
The Pakistani Army attacked a Mukti Bahini stronghold in an advance are at Gilabari near Feni on September 14 and heavy exchange of shelling ensued. The guerillas, however, had to withdraw later to their main position after killing 10 and injuring 16 Pakistani soldiers.
The Mukti Bahini guerillas captured three enemy bunkers in the Lakshmipur Road area of Comilla on Wednesday after killing three Pakistani soldiers and injuring eight of them. The guerillas also destroyed two bunkers in the Kayampur area on Tuesday.
An Official spokesman said at Shillong today that none of the officers touring Mahisashan area in Assam’s Karimganj sub-division received bullet injuries in Pakistani firing from across the border on September 17.
He was commenting on Press reports that Karimganj’s SDO, SDPO and some other officers were hit by Pakistani bullets.
