U. K. women doctors refute Pak charge
KATHMANDU, July 19 : Two British women doctors working among Bangla Desh evacuees in West Bengal have described as “rubbish” the Pakistani allegation that India was holding refugees as hostages and preventing their return.
Christine Pickard and Elizabein Ferris, volunteers of the British organization “War on Want”, said today that evacuees had told them that they had to leave East Bengal because they did not want to be shot by the Pakistani army. “There is no such hint that India is preventing the return of evacuees.” – PTI.
