Pak envoy in Bulgaria switches loyalty
SOFIA, JAN. 5-Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Mr. Moustafa Kamal, came out in favor of Bangladesh yesterday and said he had cut off all relations with the Rawalpindi Government.
He told a Press conference here that he had asked the Bulgarian Government for political asylum and offered his services to the Bangladesh Government.
He paid tribute to the “bitter and heroic” struggle of the people of Bangladesh and expressed the hope that the Bulgarian Government would be one of the first to recognise Bangladesh. Mr. Kamal was named Pakistani Ambassador in June last year.
