Galbraith meets Bangla Ministers today
By A Staff Reporter, Prof. John Kenneth Galbraith a former US Ambassador to India will meet the Bangladesh Minister and Officials at Mujibnagar today. He will also have a separate meeting with Bangladesh intellectuals.
The object of his visit is to get himself acquainted with the nature and extent of the Bangladesh issue. Prof. Galbraith has denied that he was on a “private diplomacy” to Mujibnagar.
Continuing his round to visit evacuee camps in West Bengal for the second day in succession, Prof. Galbraith went to Kalyani on Friday. His visit to the evacuee camps convinced him that the American people had not been adequately informed about the magnitude of the Problem.
