We ourselves have to make it, says Tajuddin
By A Staff Reporter, Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed, Prime Minister, Bangladesh, said at Mujibnagar on Sunday “None can bring us freedom; we have to achieve it ourselves by shedding our blood.”
Mr. Ahmed who was inaugurating the function organized in connection with the republication of Janmabhumi, a weekly published from Bangladesh said, “No barbarous force can throttle the voice of the people or their organ. The republication of Janmabhumi has proved this truth.”
The function was attended by many including journalists and writers, Mr. Nurul Nazrul Islam, the Acting President of Bangladesh in a greeting said. “The republication of Janmabhumi at this juncture has created a new chapter in the struggle of Bangladesh.”
Mr. Mustafa Allama, editor of the republished weekly said in his address, “We shall create world public opinion in regard to the release of Banga Bandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and recognition of Bangladesh through the republished paper.”
