Bangla rally embarrasses Pak HC in London
NEW DELHI, AUG 4 -The Pakistan High Commissioner in London has been greatly embarrassed by the Bangladesh rally at Trafalgar Square on Monday which was addressed by Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, who quit the Pakistan High Commission as a Second Secretary. reports UNI.
The High Commissioner, Mr. Salman Ali, demonstrated with the Foreign Office yesterday against holding such rallies. He said such rallies should not be allowed to be staged, reports BBC.
Mr. Ali also informed the Foreign Office that Mr. Ahmed’s diplomatic passport had been canceled.
Mr. Ahmed, while announcing his decision to quit his job, had told the rally. “I want to live as an independent citizen of an independent country.”
