Yet another diplomat switches loyalty

HONG KONG, AUG, 18- The acting Pakistani Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong, Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed has defected to the Bangladesh Government reports Reuter.
In a press release here today. Mr. Ahmed accused the Pakistan Government of ruthless genocide in East Bengal.
“We cannot remain a silent spectator while thousands of our countrymen are fighting against oppression”, he said.
The 33-year-old diplomat from East Bengal, Mr. Ahmed, had been Acting Trade Commissioner in the colony since July 1970 and sources close to his family said he had recently been instructed by the Pakistan Foreign Ministry to return to East Pakistan.
