Trade Board Set Up
Bangladesh Move To Find World Market For Jute

MUJIBNAGAR, July 15. – The Bangladesh Government is seeking a world market for an estimated surplus stock of 500,000 bales of raw jute from the last season’s crop, reports PTI.
According to Bangladesh Government sources, Mr. Matiur Rahman, president of the newly-constituted Bangladesh Trade and Commerce Board, has already sought the good officers of the Indian Government for disposal of this surplus stock in foreign markets.
These sources said that a speedy disposal would ensure an early availability of valuable foreign exchange to the credit of the Bangladesh Government. The Indian market has already absorbed an unspecified quantity of raw jute from Bangladesh.
