Bangladesh CP denounces arms shipment
By A Staff Reporter, The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bangladesh holds that to inspire the people of Bangladesh and to bring the world public opinion in favor of the liberation struggle, there is need for formation of a National Liberation Front of all democratic and fighting forces.
Disclosing this at a Press conference in Calcutta on Saturday, leaders of the Bangladesh Communist Party told newsmen that the Awami League leaders should take initiative for unity among the forces fighting for Bangladesh.
The leaders strongly criticized the US Government for the shipment of arms to the Pakistan Government. They appealed to the socialist countries to give the Bangladesh people material help to continue the freedom struggle.
Bangladesh Communist Party leaders who were present at the Press Conference included Mr. Mani Singh, Mr. Addus Salam, Mr. Sudhin Roy and Mr. Kabir Ahmed.
