Foreign VIPs visit BanglaDesh
MUJIBNAGAR, July 7: Dr. Earnest Heinsen, West German State Minister and Mr. John Stonchouse, the British Labour MP, the first foreign dignitaries to visit some of the liberated areas of BanglaDesh early this week were “impressed by the activities of the liberation forces there.”
The distinguished visitors appreciated the hardship these valiant freedom fighters were undergoing according to a Mukti Fauz spokesman.
As they stepped into the territory of the new republic after their passport were marked with the BanglaDesh Government seal prior to their “admittance” to the liberated areas by the Mukti Fauz sector commanders they were greeted with shouts “Jai Bangla” and “Sheikh Mujibur Zindabad” by a large crowd.
Both Mr. Stonehouse and Mr. Heinsen, who is the Minister of Justice in the State of Hamburg were earlier received by Dr. T. Hossain, Director General of Health Service of the Republic of Bangladesh and commander of the liberation army.
They made their visit to BanglaDesh after completing an extensive tour of evacuee camps in West Bengal.-PTI.
