Freedom fighters will succeed, hopes Bhasani
MUJIBNAGAR (Bangladesh), May 29- Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, leader of the pro-Peking National Awami Party, has pressed his firm belief that the 75 million people of Bangladesh, “now engaged in a life and death struggle against the Pakistani occupation Army to protect the freedom of the motherland, are bound to win the battle,” reports PTI.
In a signed message from somewhere in Bangladesh to the Awami League organ “Joi Bangla”, the octogenarian Maulana said that the struggle of the people would be able to defeat the invaders and beat them out of their holy land.
Maulana Bhashani said that this was a crucial time in their history and to guide the struggling people in the right direction, a bold newspaper was necessary. “I am confident that the victory of the Bangladesh people is definite,” he added.
