Worst crisis since Pakistan’s inception: Bhutto

AGARTALA, MAY 19-Mr. Z. A. Bhutto, chairman of the People’s party, has described the present crisis in East Pakistan as the worst since the inception of Pakistan, the effective solution of which is beyond the scope of bureaucracy”, reports PTI.
According to a report published in the May 7 issue of Pakistan Observer Mr. Bhutto told newsmen at Lahore: “Although we receive encouraging reports from East Pakistan, the rebellion never the less is serious requiring every one’s undivided attention”.
The People’s Party chairman, who suggested that power should be transferred on the basis of an interim constitution before the presentation of the budget on July next, warned that the situation would get out of hand if there was an indefinite delay in the transfer of power. Mr. Bhutto emphasized that the present bureaucratic approach would not be able to tackle the national crisis, which demanded.
