Mujib calls for settlement
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman chief of the Awami League has called upon the management of the daily Pasban to settle the dispute with the working journalists who are on continuous strike for the last 87 days for the realisation of their legitimate demands reports PPI.
In a Press statement the chief of the Awami League said: “I am gravely concerned to learn that the journalists of the daily Pasban are on continuous strike for the last 87 days for realisation of their legitimate demands. It is unfortunate that the management of the daily Pasban has shown intransigence in settling issues with the working journalists who I am told are on a starvation point. I call upon the management to settle the issues to the best interest of the working journalists, the management and the reading public in accordance with the Wage Board Award”.
