Mujib-Bhutto jokes

(By our staff Reporter)

Mujib-Bhutto jokes at the airport yesterday provided an interesting dialogue before their departure for Lahore on way to Rawalpindi, reports APP.
Sheikh Saheb who concluded his airport interview with the Press was first to cut a joke when he said that Mr. Bhutto had taken the name of his (Mujib’s) party – Awami League which in English means “People’s party.”
Mr. Bhutto who is the Chairman of the People’s Party said, “I want to take you also.”
When Pressmen and others were still enjoying the lighthearted remarks of the two leaders, Sheikh Saheb jokingly said, “Mr. Bhutto will have to pay heavy compensation for his association with President Ayub Khan for seven long years.” Pat came the reply from Mr. Bhutto “I was with him at the beginning, but these people are going to join him at the end”.
Sheikh Mujib amidst laughter noded disapprovingly.
