Bhutto accuses Razakars of Killing Leftists
NEW DELHI SEPT. 6 –The Pakistan People’s Party leader, Mr. Bhutto has accused armed Razakars of the Jamat-e-Islam of killing Leftist patriots in East Bengal, says UNI.
Mr. Bhutto first ever reference to the mass murders in Bangladesh was contained in a despatch published in the Urdu daily, Azad, of Karachi in the issue dated September 4. Mr. Bhutto also stated that Muslim League members were taking possession of empty shops left behind by East Bengalis who had fled to India.
The paper quoted Mr. Bhutto as saying that by including persons who believed in killing their political opponents in his Cabinet, the newly appointed East Bengal Governor, Mr. Malik, would be doing in justice to the country and further aggravating the crisis.
