UF Minister divulged secrets to Pakistan

A well-known MP of this State received money from Pakistan for acting as its agent.
Going back a few years, a Congress Deputy Minister would hang about top party leaders to collect information for the Pakistani intelligence department.
Pakistan helped two political parties in this State in difierent ways.
These have been revealed from a sensational account of a Pakistani spy-ring operating in West Bengal. The Government of India has recently come in possession of such an account.
The account seems to be a full dossier about a number of political party leaders and workers. Government officers and eminent persons involved in surreptitious activities. The Indian Government, however, does not want that any of the information leak in the press. All attempts are being made to throw a curtain of secrecy over these things.
It is known that the Pakistani circles in Calcutta had their hands in making the man who made over secret documents to Pakistan a Minister. He had been acting as an agent of Pakistan for a few years before he became a Minsiter. He received a fast sum for his “services.”
He also used to receive money from Pakistan for his election campaign.
Papers belonging to the Pakistani intelligence testify to the activities of this man whose code name was “Yogi”. The papers include some of his handwritings.
The well-known MP, code-named “Badal” also received money regularly. He is said to have received Rs. 10,000 for his election expenses.
What “Badal” would say in Parliament or which party he would support in the elections – everything was determined under instructions from the Pakistani intelligence.
The Congress Minister would always move close to the then Chief Minister and other important leaders and pass on all sorts of information to Pakistan. The Pakistani authorities would grant various facilities to his relations over there as a reward.
The whole Pakistani intelligence net-work in West Bengal would spread during the pre-election period for the two political parties that maintained close link with Pakistan. Intructions were sert to the Pakistani agent in the districts to see to it these parties secured good number of votes. Leaders of both the parties would secretly meet the chief of the Pakistani intelligence department in Calcutta before the elections.
