Bhutto decides not to boycott poll
RAWALPINDI, OCT. 23—The Peoples Party Chairman Mr. Bhutto, who had earlier threatened to boycott the December 26 by-elections in East Bengal, today told journalists after talks with Prsident Yahya Khan that his Party would put up 20 to 30 candidates, reports AFP.
Mr. Bhutto said he would be keeping a close watch on the situation, He denied having, negotiated a electoral alliance with any political party in East Bengal.
On his arrival here yesterday Mr. Bhutto had suggested that a question on how many candidates his party would be fielding was not be taken seriously.
