Iran, China send arms to Pakistan
From Our Own Correspondent, SIMLA, July, 11.-A good amount of military hardware has arrived in West Pakistan by land from Iran.
It is not know whether these arms, which include recoiless and long range guns, rocket launchers besides huge stocks of ammunition, and spare parts have been supplied by Iran or by some other county via Iran.
Most of these arms have already been sent to the East Pakistan to arm demoralised troops fighting against the freedom fighters of Bangladesh.
Recently Pakistan has received more Chinese arms, including vehicles, via Gilgit-Sinkian road. These arms were sent to Pakistan after a Chinese military mission had secretly assessed Pakistan’s requirements of sophisticated weapons.
These arms were being supplied to troops on the Western border.
Pakistani rulers had set up training centres to train and equip infiltrators and spies in some thickly wooded forests in occupied Kashmir.
Some senior military and intelligence officers of Pakistan visited these training centres last month.
