Murshed demands release of Mujib, Bhutto, Wali Khan

ABBOTTABAD, Feb. 11:-Justice S. M. Murshed, former Chief Justice of East Pakistan High Court, has called upon the Government to release Mr. Z. A. Bhutto. Wali Kha, Sk. Mujibur Rahman, Abdus Samad Achakzai and other political leaders, with a view to creating a congenial atmosphere, for holding the proposed round table conference. He said in the present situation the question of talks between the Opposition and the Government does not arise, reports, PPI.
Addressing the District Bar Association here today he said that the present mass movement had achieved success to a great extent and the dictatorship was nearing its end.
Reminding the public servants of their duties towards the public. Justice Murshed said CSP officers and police authorities should always keep in their mind that they were not the servants of one man and it was their bounden duty to hold supreme the interests of public instead of dancing to the tune of one man, he added.
He dispelled the fears that any group in East Pakistan harboured secessionist designs.
Earlier, Justice Murshed Lt. General Jilani and Saeed Khan were warmly welcomed on their arrival from Peshawar.
They also addressed a public meeting at the Jinnah Park in the afternoon organised by the local Democratic Action Committee.
