Murshed says: Case against Mujib should be withdrawn

Mr. Justice S.M. Murshed, former Chief Justice of the East Pakistan High Court said here today that the case against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman could and should be withdrawn forthwith, reports PPI.
In a statement to the Press on Saturday Mr. Justice Murshed said that he was glad to note that Wali Khan and Zulfiqur Ali Bhutto had been released but he regretted that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Abdus Samad Achakzai were still in detention. The case against Sheikh Mujibur Rahman can and should be withdrawn forthwith, he said.
All repressive measures including the application of lathi and firing of bullets must cease immediately, he said and added in such a peaceful climate only that a “fruitful dialogue” could proceed.
