‘Mujib Day’ at Ctg. Today
CHITTAGONG, Feb. 10 (APP): A general meeting of Chittagong District Bar Association held at the bar Library here on Saturday under the presidentship of advocate Aminul Huq Chowdhury passed a resolution supporting the call for general hartal in Chittagong in observance of Sheikh Mujib Day on February 11.
Sheikh Mujib Day will be observed here on February 11 under the auspices of Chittagong District Awami League has also given a call for general hartal of Mujib Day on February 11.
The Bar Association meeting in another resolution extended its full support to the eleven-point demand of the students and urged upon the Government to accept all the demands.
The meeting in a resolution expressed heartfelt sorrow for the lives lost during the recent movement and urged upon the Government to hold inquiry into the firing incidents and to give adequate compensations to the bereaved families.
