Shelling of Indian border continues
From Our Own Correspondent, KRISHNAGAR, June 24.-Pak troops opened fire around 10 on Tuesday night and kept up their agressive activities along the Prugpore border. They opened fire on two other occasions. Pak mortar shells landed in Shikarpur. The BSF returned the fire.
Our Correspendent in Dhupguri adds: Some Pakistani again tresspassed into Indian territory at Daikhata village in south Berubari in Jalpaiguri Sadar thana area at 2.30 a.m. this morning. Indian Border Security Force, while patrolling Daikhata last night, found some persons moving suspiciously. Being challenged, the persons opened fire on BSF men. The BSF in return opened fire.
Our Correspondent in Bashirhat reports that Mukti Fauj guerillas attacked a Pak military truck and killed 30 Pak soldiers at Ganrakhali on the night of June 21 and captured the truck and some arms. The bodies of Pak soldiers were carried away by hirad men of Muslim League, according to reports available at Basirhat from a reliable source.
A PTI report from Mujibnagar adds: Ten officers and 250 sepoys of the West Pakistani Army were killed by Mukti Fouj men, who attacked them with light maching guns and granades while they were passing in boats and porivate launches to village Kathurina Hatbari in Barisal District on the night of June 18 according to a delayed report received in Mujibnagar today.
The report said that cofins for the officers and other ranks had been brought from khulna while the ordinary sepoy had been buried without and piece of cloth to cover their bodies.
