WB-Bangladesh border sealed to foreigners
By A Staff Reporter, The West Bengal Bangladesh border has been sealed to foreigners under an order of the Government of India.
This order which amends the Foreigners (Restricted Areas) Order, 1963, prohibits any foreigner from entering into or remaining in Darjeeling, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Malda West Dinajpur, Murshidabad and Nadia Districts and the Bongaon and Basirhat, sub-divisions of 24-Parganas District of West Bental without permit from a competent authority.
There are heavy concentrations of evacuees from Bangladesh.
