Denial By Bhutto

NEW DELHI, July 21.- The Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Mr. Z. A. Bhutto, has denied that he had accepted President Yahya Khan’s plan for the transfer of power in full as broadcast by Radio Pakistan last nigh, reports UNI. Mr. Bhutto told reporters last night at the Lahore airport that he had accepted the President’s plans “only with certain reservations.”
The broadcast quoted Mr. Bhutto as saying that his party had agreed to the plan for the transfer of power and restoration of civil rule announced by the President in his broadcast of June 28.
Mr. Bhutto said there were two parts in the President’s address plan for the transfer of power and the President’s own observations. He agreed with the President’s observation on the role of the defunct Awami League and that fresh election should not be held.
Earlier Mr. Bhutto said he would agree to the transfer of power in four month’s time provided there was no extension.
Meanwhile, the Council Muslim League President, Mian Mumtaz Daulatana, has said the transfer of power should take place simultaneously in both wings of Pakistan after conditions were fully normalized in East Bengal.
