Ram rules out pull-out from western border
NEW DELHI, JAN. 4.–The Defence Minister, Mr. Jagjivan Ram, has ruled out the withdrawal of Indian troops from the western border “for the present”, says UNI.
Mr. Jagjivan Ram made this assertion in an interview when asked whether India could think of troop withdrawal in view of President Bhutto’s intentions to seek revenge.
The interview which appears in the current issue of Saptahik Hindustan was taken by a well-known Hindi journalist.
Earlier at Varanasi, the Defence Minister said that Pakistan might yet try to pressure India and urged the people to remain united and vigilant.
