Extremely useful visit : PM

NEW DELHI, Sept. 29.-Mrs. Gandhi told newsmen immediately on her return to New Delhi tonight that her visit to the Soviet Union had been extremely useful and would lead to closer relations between the two countries, reports UNI.
A correspondent asked if her visit would help the cause of Bangladesh. Mrs. Gandhi replied : “I do not see life in compartments.”
The Prime Minister’s attention was drawn to the Soviet Prime Minister, Mr. Kosygin’s repeated emphasis on a peaceful solution of the problem and she was asked what was the basis of Mr. Kosygin’s hope that Pakistan would find a peaceful solution.
Mrs. Gandhi’s reply was “Sometimes one has to hope even without a basis.
Asked if China was discussed in the talks. Mrs. Gandhi said : “We discussed everything you can consider of interest.”
