Delhi to host international meeting on Bangladesh

NEW DELHI, June 26.-An international conference on Bangladesh will be held in New Delhi for three days beginning on September 18, it is learnt, says PTI.
A preparatory committee for organising the conference, already set up under the chairmanship of Mr. Jayaprakash Narayan, the Sarvodaya leader, will meet here on July 4.
A list of about 200 foreign delegates, who are likely to attend the conference, has already been prepared.
Contacts made by Mr. Narayan during his globe-girding tour have indicated keen support for the struggle launched by the people of Bangladesh against the army tyranny.
Sponsors of the conferences include the SSP and a consortium of Gandhi an organisations, like the Gandhi Peace Foundation, the Sarva Seva Sangh and the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi.
The Sarvodaya leader, Mr. Jayaparakash Narayan, who is now on a tour of several countries to explain the case of the people of Bangladesh, will return to Delhi tomorrow night from Bangkok, according to a communication received by the international conference on Bangladesh today, adds UNI.
Mr. Narayan is expected to be in the capital for a week during which he will meet the Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister and give them his impressions of the tour.
