British goods may be boycotted in Pakistan
KARACHI, JULY 15 British goods will soon be boycotted in Pakistan following “anti-Pakistan” reports in the British Press supporting the Bangladesh movement, reported yesterday, says AFP.
Many political leaders are ready to launch such a move among consumers, the agency said following“ a strong reaction” by the Press and public opinion against unfavorable comments about East Bengal in the British Press and from British politicians.
Observers here pointed out, however that no demonstrations have taken place uptill now at the British High Commission.
