6-Point AL not to join talks in Pindi without Mujib
DACCA, Feb 6: The six-Point Awami League will not participate in the proposed constitutional talks without the presence of the party chief Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the conference table.
This was stated here to night by the Acting General Secretary of the Awami League, Mr. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, MNA, to APP.
Mr. Chowdhury who, along with three other members of his party-one of the eight components of the DAC-met Nawabzada Nasurllah Khan today to discuss the President’s offer for the round table conference with the opposition leader, said, that the Awami League would not agree to accept the President’s move without the presence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. -APP.
