Mujib ‘Defeats’ Ata

The Awami general secretary, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, had his first “victory” yesterday, on a literary front though, when he defeated the former Chief Minister, Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan in a debate on UN affairs. The subject for the debate was: “UN has failed to solve the problems of nations.” It was held under the auspices of the Awami League Cultural circle.
The motion was moved by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was supported by Mr. Abdul Hamid Choudhry and Mr. Tariq Ahmad Choudhry. Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan along with Mr. Muhammadullah, and Mr. Abdul Mannan Sikdar opposed the motion. When put to vote, the motion was carried.
