Mujib urges big Powers to stop nuclear tests
DACCA, March 16: The East Pakistan Awami League General Secretary, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has appealed to all the Great Powers to take steps to stop nuclear test “for the sake of humanity and to save mankind from destruction.”
In a statement to the Press yesterday, the General Secretary said that he was strongly opposed to the hydrogen and atomic bomb tests, “because these tests are polluting the atmosphere thus rendering itdetrimental to human health.”
He said that atomic energy should be utilised only for peaceful purposes aiming at the development of all the nations of the world. -APP.
