MUJIBUR RAHMAN TO PROCEED
ON FOREIGN TOUR

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, General Secretary of the East Pakistan Awami League, is shortly proceeding on an extensive foreign tour. Among the countries he will visit are the UK, the USA and Japan. During his absence from Pakistan Mr Abdul Hamid Chowdhry is expected to officiate as General Secretary of the East Pakistan Awami League according to Awami League sources in Karachi. These sources said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had not resigned from the general Secretaryship of the party. But he had warned that he would do so though reports from Dacca have stated that he has already tendered his resignation.
