Mujib A Liability to Awami League
– SULAIMAN
The General Secretary of the East Pakistan Krishak Sramik Party Mr. Mohammed Sulaiman in a statement issued last Monday challenged Mr. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Claim that the Awami League Coalition Party commanded a majority in the Assembly. The Awami League, he said, had no chance even of swimming the first onslaught against it in the next Assembly session. Mr. Sulaiman further claimed that it was the Prime Minister himself that induced “some KSP members” through “his friends” into negotiations for a coalition.
Replying to a remark by Mr. Rahman that the KSP in coalition would be a liability of the Awami League Mr. Sulaiman said that Mr. Mujibur Rahman, who had recently come out of the Provincial Cabinet, in fact, proved himself a liability of the Awami League.
