SK. MUJIB REFUTES SARKAR’S STATEMENT
The Commerce, Industries and Anti-Corruption Minister, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman told the House yesterday that up till now not a single Anti-Corruption case was withdrawn. All the cases were under investigation, he added.
Mr. Rahman refuting the charges by Mr. Abu Hussain Sarkar, Leader of the Opposition, levelled against the present Government, said that Mr. Sarkar himself, ordered withdrawal of anti-Corruption case instituted against the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and others of the East Pakistan Provincial Co-operative Bank. He said that the case was withdrawn in spite of the opposition by the Legal Rememberancer at the East Pakistan Government.
He was replying to discussion on the cut motions moved on the demand relating to industries.-APP.
