MUJIB DENIES M.L. ALLEGATIONS
East Pakistan Commerce, Labour and Industries Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is also the cretary of the Provincial Awami League, held out a challenge last night to Maulvi Tamizuddin Khan, East Pakistan Muslim League President, to contest personally any bye election on any issue.
In a rejoinder to the League President’s recent statement on the results of the bye-elections alleging “unfairness” in the election Sheikh Mujib emphatically denied any kind of unfairness whatsoever. He added the bye-elections were held under strict orderliness and there was no evidence of any case of “corruption or intimidation” of Muslim League workers.-APP
