New Ministers Sworn In

Ten more Ministers were swom in this moming at the Government House, bringing the strength of the East Bengal Cabinet to 14. CEREMONY held at Darbar Hall of the Governor Minister Mr. A.K. Fazlul Huq. A large members of persons including members of the diplomatic corps, High Court Judges, prominent Citizens, MLAs and high officials were present on the occasion Oath of office and secret were administered by the Governor of East Pakistan, Choudhury Khaliquzzaman to the new Ministers. A large crowd hailed the Ministers outside the gate of the Government House as they came out. The following are the new ministers:Mr. Ataur Rahman Khan, Mr. Yusuf Ali Choudhury (Mohan Mian), Mr. Abdus Salam Khan, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Syed Moazzumuddin Hussain (a former Minister of undivided Bengal). Mr. Abul Mansur Ahmed, Mr. Hashemuddin Ahmed, Mr. Kafiluddin Ahmed Choudhury, Mr. Razzakul Hyder Choudhury and Mr. Abdul Latif Biswas. Mr. Mujibur Rahman was stated to be the youngest member thirty three) of the Cabinet whom Mr. Fazlul Huq yesterday described as his “grandson.” -APP.
