Veteran Pak leader flees to Afghanistan
SRINAGAR, JUNE 13— Maulvi Nooruddin a veteran political leader before 1947 and a leader of the Muslim Council of Pakistan Awami Actin committee leader Maulvi Farooq’s uncle, who had been lying in Pakistan for the past 20 years has fled to Afghanistan according to reports received here from across the border reports UNI.
The Afghan Government has granted him asylum the reports said.
The Maulvi is trying to come to Jammu and Kashmir State the reports added.
In his letter to the Afghanistan Government the Maulvi has said that he wanted to get rid of the barbarous treatment meted out him of the Pakistan Government .
“I have escaped from Rawalpindi to get out of the clutches of Pakistani and Azad Kashmir Governments the letter added.
According to latest reports Maulvi Nooruddin and his family members are all quite well Afghanistan.
According to Kashmir News Service Maulvi Nooruddin was to stay in Pakistan-oc-cupied Kashmir.
After the death of Mitwaiz Maulvi Nooruddin was asked to succeed him but he declined the offer.
