Soviet Fleet following 7th fleet
From Our Special Representative, NEW DELHI, Dec. 16.—In the din on excitement over today’s developments, the movements of the U.S. 7th fleet as also of Soviet battleships continued to arouse speculative interest.
Nothing was officially stated on this point. But at the Opposition leaders’ meeting Mrs Gandhi said in reply to a query that at 8 a.m. the 7th fleet was at a point where it would take 30 hours to reach Chittagong. What about the Soviet fleet? Inquired another member.
“It is not coming to our waters. It is following the 7th fleet.”
