বঙ্গবন্ধুকে হত্যার পরে সম্পাদকীয়তে যা লেখা হয়েছিলো

বঙ্গবন্ধুর দাফন শেষ কয়েক ঘণ্টা হয়েছে মাত্র, এর মধ্যেই সম্পাদকেরা তাদের লেখা রেডি করে ফেলেছেন। কেউ বলেছেন হত্যাকাণ্ড হয়েছে ঐতিহাসিক প্রয়োজনে, কেউ বা ক্যু’টাকে বলেছে ঐতিহাসিক পদক্ষেপ! যে মানুষটার ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আর প্রেরণায় বাঙালী পেল স্বাধীন মানচিত্র আর লাল-সবুজের পতাকা, দেশে ফেরার মাত্র ১৩১২ টা দিন পরেই তাঁকে সপরিবারে হত্যা করে তথাকথিত শিক্ষিত কলমে সম্পাদকীয় লেখা হলো; বলা হলো যে এই হত্যা নাকি ঐতিহাসিক প্রয়োজনে!! বাংলার ইতিহাসের কালোতম অধ্যায়টি তাদের কলমের কালি যেন আরও গভীর কালো রঙে আচ্ছাদিত করে দিলো।
After the brutal assassination of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family the then editors of the newspapers didn’t take even hours to show off their perversity through their writings that the killing had been a historical necessity that blackened the darkest chapter of our history questioning the urgency of this killing process just after 1312 days of the return of Sheikh Mujib from imprisonment in West Pakistan to his own free sovereign motherland and being killed by his own soldiers, own political colleague’s intrigue and conspiracy.
