The constituent assembly of Pakistan:

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (East Bengal: Muslim): Sir before we start the proceedings today, I would like to say something. There was some misunderstanding about my speech yesterday. I had spoken about maladministration of Nurul Amin and Khwaja Nazimuddin Government and never mentioned anything about Mr. Hamidul Huq Choudhury. While speaking yesterday I said that somebody was committed to the High Court and did not say anything about any conviction or things like that while referring to the Drum Case. I have nothing to say against Mr. Hamidul Huq Choudhury and meant no reflection on him. I was only speaking about the maladministration of Nurul Amin and Khwaja Nazimuddin Government and said that they never brought 92-A against them. I have not mentioned Mr. Hamidul Huq Chaudhury and did not mean any reflection on him.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman: I must also say about our friend, Honourable Mr. Daultana, The whole House was supporting him and Mr. Nazimuddin was the Prime Minister of Pakistan at that time. He went to Lahore and said: Either you resign or I will impose 92-A. The whole House was supporting Mr. Daultana and all we Members of the Legislative Assembly were supporting him but he was forced to resign and our the then Governor of East Bengal who is now a Member of the House and is now sitting with us, Mr. Firoz Khan Noon, became the Chief Minister.
