Russia seeks Chittagong port clearance

RAWALPINDI, JUNE 4 The Soviet Union has asked for clearance o start shipping machinery for a heavy electrical complex they are helping build at Chittagong in East Bengal, reports U.N.I.
Officials in the Foreign Office said yesterday their reply would depend in part on the ability of Chittagong port to handle the cargo.
The officials also said visas had been granted to Soviet technical advisors in various Soviet aid projects, and Russians, who left East Bengal when the Army cracked down on March 25 against the Awami League, were now planing to return there.
