It’s Dacca this time ….
By A Staff Reporter, The cool of the Christmas generally calls out people to go visiting places. Many families shift out near and far and spend a lovely week. But this time the war has apparently change the mind and mood of the people. In sympathy with the national strife many have decided to stay back. However a surprisingly large number are anxious to rush to Dacca. “The liberated Bangladesh seems to be lure as evinced by the many inquiries with the Indian Airlines asking “When is the first fight?”
Among the inquirers are mainly those who had taken refugee in India following the Pakistani Army’s crackdown and are now eager to get back as early as possible. The number of those who had long left. East Bengal and settled in India but are willing to visit their ancestral home now is also sizable.
Indian Airlines sources said on Thursday that the regular flight on the Calcutta-Dacca roue might be operated soon after the “probe flight” to Dacca was undertaken. The probe flight which will enable the LA pilots to asses the uying conditions, including that of the Dacca runway is likely to be taken today or tomorrow.
